It all started with a passion for shopping in unique shops and a dream....
Hi ! My name is Rennie DeBoer. My husband Marty and I traveled the tri-state area as our children were heavily involved in hockey. As many hockey moms can relate I liked to watch our team play but didn't really care to sit through all the other teams games. I know that seams selfish but as a result of that Simply Unique was born.
Here's how... I would fill my free time with shopping and seeking out stores that didn't look like the ones in our home town. Every time I would find a unique shop I would tell Marty "we need a store like that in Mitchell". Well after he heard that so many times he started going to the shops with me and we would take mental notes on what we liked and what we didn't. So I would have to say Simply Unique is a combination of many shops from our family hockey trips. See... It all started as a family venture. Literally everyone in our family helped us get started and still helps out when needed today.
This was a special time in our lives and a very scary venture! We now celebrate our 5 year anniversary and are still going strong.
